Job Summary
The seasonal operator position is responsible for following directions in Tractor mowing, replacing culverts, help with equipment maintenance and smaller tasks around the shop and roads of the Rural Municipality. This role requires an individual who can follow instructions, work interdependently and has skills to ensure the effective delivery of services such as road maintenance, tractor mowing in ditches, etc. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of public works operations and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing community quality of life through sustainable practices.

Duties

Ditch mowing (Tractor).
Replacing/maintenance with culverts, roads and equipment.
Shop maintenance/tasks.

Qualifications

Post (High) School Education.
1-2 years experience in this type of field.
Experience in public works operations or related fields.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with Foreman and other operators.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 6 - 8 months

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Experience:

Public Works: 1 year (preferred)
Tractor Mowing: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

English (preferred)
