The Town of Penhold is currently seeking an outgoing, dependable, and organized individual to fill the 15- 20 hours per week casual position of Fitness Centre Attendant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of tasks related to the daily operation of the Fitness Centre and around the Facility. This position will require you to work evening and weekend shifts.


Responsibilities:
• Maintain relationships with customers.
• Provide equipment orientation.
• Monitoring equipment, and fitness area including the indoor track.
• Assist with membership sales.
• Working at the service desk.
• Perform cash, debit, and credit card transactions in the Fitness Centre and around the Facility.
• Offer guidance and support to the community through wellness.
• Be able to work with patrons of all ages.
• Provide equipment orientation.
• Register members for various programs.
• Supervise drop in gym times.
• Plan and organize activity lesson plans.
• Run various fitness activities for children and youth in the Multiplex.
• Cleaning of the entire fitness area, including fitness equipment. Wiping down the equipment on an hourly basis including water fountain.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor
• Other Duties as required.


Qualifications:
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Cash handling experience
• Level C First Aid/CPR Certification
• Criminal Record
• Proven Customer Service

Physical Requirements:
• This job requires re racking of weights. Must be able to lift 50lb objects.


The expected start date for this position is immediately. We are looking for an individual who can work 15- 20 hours per week. This position will require you to work some evening and weekend shifts. Starting wage for this position is $18.60/ hr.
