Job Summary
We are seeking to fill a part-time housekeeping position. As a small hotel this role will require housekeeping as well as skills to occasionally do check-ins. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and high quality customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This role requires a strong commitment to quality service, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage time efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, and sanitizing surfaces.
Launder linens and towels as needed, ensuring they are fresh and clean for use.
Handle petty cash and ability to do check ins.
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests or concerns from residents.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a harmonious living environment.
Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated schedules while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Assist with any additional hospitality-related tasks as needed to enhance the overall experience of residents.
Experience
Previous experience in a customer service roll or a cleaning/hospitality role is preferred but not required.
Education and/or experience working with vulnerable populations a bonus.
Truth and reconciliation training/education would be considered applicable.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to cleaning techniques.
