We've used about 18month and all things are quite new.
There is no contamination because I used it in a new apartment without pets. In the case of the bed, I used a waterproof cover so there is almost no sweat contamination.
The dining table has a vinyl cover the whole time I used it so there are no scratches/contaminations.
