Sadly, I must downsize my flock of companion birds at this time. Life has gotten in the way big time and I can no longer give them all the attention they so deserve. I want to find committed forever homes for them and I will not sell to just anyone. People with young children need not apply, People expecting children need not apply, people buying birds for children of any age need not apply. I am looking for stable homes where they can live out their lives with lots of attention and love. NO FIRST TIMERS either.
I need experienced bird people that have a good knowledge of the species and how to care for them. These birds can live up to 30 years in some cases.
I am offering 2 bonded female (sisters) pineapple conures, 1 male Pineapple conure and his bonded mate, a cinnamon conure, they have never bred and its unlikely they ever will. They have been together for several years and nothing. I have 1 beautiful male rosi-frons and his bonded mate, a female black-capped conure, again they are paired but not breeding at all.
It pains me to part with them and I will only let them go as pairs, because a new home is stressful enough for them, I do not want to separate them and make it worse. They are all in various tame and semi-tame temperaments and do not bite. They will step up once they get to know you, and become more relaxed and friendly over time as long as you are up to paying attention to them.
I no longer have that luxury as I am caring for family members and that has taken up much of my time and devotion to them They are all lovely, they are not flightless, I have never trimmed their wings, so they are allowed to fly around the living area. Cautiously, so no open doors or windows should be left unguarded.
For each of the pairs, I am asking four hundred dollars. I am charging this because while it is much lower than what they would go for individually, I have to charge some fee so as to deter any people who just act on impulse and get a bird. I will be posting Photos a.s.a.p. so you can see for yourself how healthy and truly gorgeous that they are.
