The Ranch House is a family-owned and operated farm to table restaurant and convenience store located in Hill Spring, Alberta, dedicated to producing high-quality, locally-sourced food. With a 5th generation, family-owned ranch, we added the Ranch House to share our traditional ranch food with others.  We source the produce locally as often as possible, Raise our own cattle and pigs to produce as much beef and pork for the restaurant as possible, and take pride in our commitment to home grown, handmade food.

We are seeking a Restaurant/Store manager to join our team and support the daily operations of The Ranch House. This role is ideal for someone who has restaurant experience, including cooking, has experience supervising employees, and thrives in an independent work environment.
Job Responsibilities MAY include:

- Oversee and coordinate schedules of employees

- Manage stocking of store and restaurant

- Serve customers in the store and restaurant including some food service

- Handle the reservations, phone orders and other customer service aspects

- Prepare food as per our menu and support the development and expansion of our menu

- Supervise and support the maintenance of a clean store, restaurant, and kitchen

- Ensure a well organized kitchen

- Prepare the food truck for events and possibly manage the food truck at special events

- Maintain food safety and work safety records

- Support management with various administrative projects and tasks

-Seasonal overtime maybe required
Qualifications & Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in Office Administration or Business is an asset)

- Strong English written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with agriculture, ranching, or rural business operations is an asset but not required

- A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Valid class 5 drivers license

- Ability to work under minimal supervision
