We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate must have expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, experience in financial clean-ups, reconciliations, and managing AR/AP, and the ability to analyze and improve current bookkeeping processes.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ QuickBooks Desktop Management – Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper data entry.
✅ Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation – Match transactions, resolve discrepancies, and keep accounts balanced.
✅ Accounts Receivable (AR) Management – Process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
✅ Accounts Payable (AP) Management – Process vendor payments, manage expenses, and reconcile supplier accounts.
✅ Financial Reporting – Generate reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
✅ GST/HST Filings & Compliance – Ensure accurate tax calculations and timely filings.
✅ Process Improvement – Identify inefficiencies in the current bookkeeping workflow and suggest solutions to streamline operations.
✅ Clean-Up & Catch-Up Bookkeeping – Organize past financial data and bring records up to date.
Requirements:
✔ 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a small business environment.
✔ Expert in QuickBooks Desktop – NOT QuickBooks Online.
✔ Strong knowledge of Bank Reconciliation, AR, and AP.
✔ Experience in improving or optimizing financial processes is a plus.
✔ Detail-oriented and highly organized.
✔ Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
✔ On-site availability
