Glimpse Lake Ranch Estate Ltd. aka Little Beaver Creek Ranch is in a rural and remote area. It is a gated community offering services to its Ranch Residents and Members only. These services include property maintenance, construction and repair work, installations and caretaking which will also require the supervision of trades people and labourers.
Therefore, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate can work independently and self-reliably and is happy to work and live in a remote setting and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
This is a live-in, full time, permanent position and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate.
Hourly wages $ 34.75, 30 hours per week
Weekend work, Statutory holidays, Overtime, On Call is part of this position.
Main Duties:
You are responsible for the following:
• Prepare production and other reports
• Supervise workers and projects
• Co-ordinate and schedule activities
• Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
• Train or arrange for training
• Set up machines and equipment
• Estimate costs and materials
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Recommend personnel actions
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
• Leading/instructing individuals
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
Security and safety
• Criminal record check
Transportation/travel information
• Valid driver's licence
• Own vehicle
Work conditions and physical capabilities
Work under pressure, able to lift 50lbs repeatedly, overtime at times required
Personal suitability
• Excellent oral and written communication, organized. reliable and a Team player
On site work and accommodation
• Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
• Accommodation in single rooms with the use of a shared showerhouse and a shared Cookhouse where staff members prepare their own meals
Work site environment
• Outdoors and all weather conditions
Requirements:
• A trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
• Work related experience of 2-3 years
• A clean driving abstract and experience with trucks and trailers
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
