James H. Lamb Farms is looking for full-time herdsperson to join our team.

James H. Lamb Farms is a 3rd generation family owned and operated dairy farm in Somerset, Nova Scotia. We milk 340 Holstein cows in a double 20 parallel parlour 2 times/day (4:00AM-9:00AM and 3:00PM-7:00PM).

Duties include, but are not limited too:
Milking
Working with calves and young stock
Feeding
Breeding (artificial insemination course an asset)
Herd management, including record keeping
Monitoring health of animals, including providing treatment
Occasional tractor/skid steer work

Experience is required. Full-time hours are 40-50hrs/week. Schedule includes working every other weekend. Housing included with employment in addition to hourly wage.
