The SG Systems amps were made at the old Standel plant in El Monte, California in 1974 when Chicago Musical Instruments (CMI) purchased Standel. Back in "74 CMI and Gibson were owned by a company called Norlin. Model SG 209. Pretty rare amp and is considered the Edsel of guitar amps (cool retro design, but largely ignored). This is the model without the phaser and with the dynamic voicing, which is even less common! The amp has two channels. Channel one has volume, treble and bass controls, and hi and lo inputs for guitar. There is a master volume control knob with a red pilot light between the two channels. Channel two has a volume control knob, reverb (controls the spring reverb unit), treble, bass, and wave form controls, along with hi and lo guitar inputs. To the far right there is a built in notch shift dial, a mid knob, and an accent knob, with "Dynamic Voicing" printed under. On the back there is an on/off toggle switch, a standby toggle switch, a reset buton, a 200w plug-in, and the power cord. There are also jacks labeled Waveform/ Reverb, External Speaker, and Signal Line.It has a handle on the top and casters on the bottom.
