At Altruistic Adobe Inc., we provide compassionate care and support for adults with special needs in a safe, residential group home environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Residential Support Worker to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Description:
As a Residential Behavioural Counselor, you will be responsible for providing support to adults with special needs, ensuring they receive personalized care in a safe and nurturing environment. You will assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene based on the client's functional abilities, and ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met with respect and dignity.

Eligibility:
Current certification in CPI, CPR First Aid, and Vulnerable Police Check (within the last 6 months)
WHMIS and Abuse Prevention training are preferred, though not required

Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping based on each client's individual needs and functional abilities
Provide emotional and social support to enhance clients' quality of life
Monitor and ensure clients' health and safety, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel
Work collaboratively with a team to create a supportive, respectful environment

Skills:
Experience in group homes
Ability to provide compassionate support to individuals with diverse needs
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Capability to work independently and as part of a team in home care settings
Understanding of working with persons with disabilities for inclusive support

Duties:
Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Implement specialized care plans for individuals with dual diagnosis
