Hello, my name is Ms. Anabel.
I am an AMI Montessori trained teacher offering online English reading & writing lessons for young kids.
I am approachable, experienced, results oriented, and work exclusively with young children aged 5-10 years old.
I teach from the heart and easily relate to young kids. My program is custom designed and kid-tested.
My online lessons are interactive, dynamic, engaging, and customised to meet your child's needs. I use audiovisual aids and plain, easy to understand language.
I am passionate about teaching, love what I do, and always do my best to help the kiddos learn.
What your child gets:
Your child will participate in short 30-minute online lessons, 2-5 times per week.
My program builds on essential pre-reading skills, such as phonetic letter sound recognition. Word rockets and commonly used words are terms I use in my program for material designed to expand your child's vocabulary.
English rules are explained and put into practice. The true power of syllables can be seen when the same principles are applied to other languages. How exciting!
The program builds your child's confidence. Mini books exclusive to my program help to kickstart your child's ability to read independently early on. Reading comprehension exercises also begin early on.
Your child will learn to read and write in Canadian English, and will be exposed to the equivalent spelling in American English.
Your child will begin learning punctuation fundamentals and then progress into in-depth punctuation. Your child will also learn about nouns, verbs, adverbs, articles, pronouns, adjectives, and so much more.
Our group classes are intimate, interactive and fun! We use conversation, pencil and paper.
The material in my program will enable your child to become a better speller.
Short 30-minute lessons:
Some of the children have been caught asking: “Is our class really over now?”
Parents have commented that “it's very interesting how short but frequent classes have such an impact on learning.”
Act now:
I have a few spots available and look forward to helping your child become a great reader and excel in the English language.

Towards the end of our lesson: "We only have 4 minutes together. That's sad."
"You're my favourite person in the whole galaxy."
Zoom text from a student: “You're lots of fun.”
“Thank you for teaching us. You're very kind.”
After telling siblings the end of our lesson was approaching, one of the children said “Really? That quick?!”
