Hi, this is a custom made over-sized real brown reclining leather chair. No marks, rips or tears. When I got it about three months ago it had a musty smell, it was in a basement that had water damage. I washed it thoroughly twice with soap and water and gave it a vinegar treatment. It did take the majority of the smell off but does still have a very slight musty smell that should go away over time (so I've read online), probably more so in the spring/summer when the windows are open and it can air out with fresh air. It doesn't smell up my apartment but if you put your nose right to the leather it still smells just slightly.
