My name is Josh Brown, I recently graduated with a PhD in chemistry from the University of Ottawa.
During my time there I was a Teaching Assistant and Lab Demonstrator for 5 years. Prior to that, I have tutored on and off since I was in grade 10 (Over 10 years of Experience). I am offering in home or online tutoring for this coming semester, covering any chemistry course, as well as any high school science course.

My system works as follows:

- 20 minute initial evaluation (Free)
The purpose of this is determine how I can most effectively help improve your performance in school.
I ask that you come prepared for this 20 minutes so we can make the most of it. this evaluation is a one time offer to ensure that my tutoring style and the students learning style can by synced up. This session is only offered over Zoom.

- Tutor Session (paid)
These sessions are charged by the half-hour, and can go anywhere from 0:30h to 2:30h, depending on the study habits of the student. During this session, we will work on practice problems together and develop new techniques to more effectively read, assess, and complete each question.

- Homework assignment
Following the actual tutoring session, I will assign practice problems for the student to work through on their own time, strategically chosen to address their areas of weakness.

My rates are structured as follows:
High School, online = $22.50 per half-hour
High School, in home = $27.50 per half-hour
University, online = $25 per half-hour
University, in home = $30 per half-hour

My schedule is flexible, so I can easily schedule last minute sessions as needed.
I accept cash or e-transfer to be paid at the end of each week. I will travel to you for in-home tutoring, within a reasonable distance at my discretion. If you prefer online, I am also experienced in that.
