A safe, been there done that all round horse for any age and skill level of rider. Rusty is well broke so neck reins, moves off your leg, side passes, turns on the haunches & forehand. He was used on a guest ranch/ranch so comfortable around cattle and done some pasture roping. Good with all types of terrain and has no problem crossing bridges and rivers as he has spent plenty of time in the mountains. He has also been packed and follows along like dream. For the last few months he has been used consistently in a lesson setting for a variety of ages and skill levels however is best suited for a rider with a little confidence as he is quick realize he has the upper hand with an apprehensive timid rider and will just stop. He is also happier when not strictly ridden in an arena as he enjoys going out and about. He is in the middle of the pecking order as he gets along good with other horses and is certainly not mean but will stand up for himself if needed. No maintenance required.

Vices
- Herd bound. Will ride out alone with no problem but is impatient when tied alone.
- Can be a little hard to catch at times in a pasture in the spring when the grass first comes. Will easily come to grain. You just might not be able to walk up and catch him without anything depending on the horses he is turned out with.
