BAILEYS STORY ......

Meet Bailey, our almost 1.5 year old female Miniature Poodle. A beautiful dark red dog with a gentle nature, sweet disposition and who is unbelievably affectionate and cuddly.

Bailey was living with good friends of ours and was to be part of MY breeding program, however in March she was showing symptoms of being unwell so I brought her back to my home permanently. After many extensive and expensive tests she was diagnosed wth a non life threatening condition where her stomach muscles weren't pushing her food through her intestines properly. Through a diet of Vetinary soft canned food and hard kibble she had greatly improved. Her only lingering symptom is that once a week she will throw up some bile until the remainder makes its way through her system. You'de never know she has this condition as she's super happy, loves to play with our other dogs and go on walks. All the expensive part is done now but she can no longer be part of our breeding program as this could be genetic and also because she doesn't eat enough to sustain puppies lives if she were to be pregnant.

Her condition is called Hyper Mobility. It's not the serious one that some dogs get in their joints, it's the kind that affects the stomach. Worse case scenario she will need to be put on steroids one day but so far the food diet is working amazingly well.

The home we are wanting for her will have a fenced yard and another dog to play with as this is how she was raised. The more love and happiness the better. The family would need to keep her on food bought from the Vet so that her condition doesn't worsen and be able to afford yearly blood work to keep an eye on this. She will most likely always have this but she's still a wonderful dog. We would love to keep her but are already at the legal dog limit per household.

Bailey is not spayed and cannot be bred. Was groomed this week.

Please consider our girl and open your heart and home and allow her to join and grow with your family. She is completely up to date on all her Shots including Rabies.
