{INV#GW1007-MS} You are looking at a Vintage Geisha Girl "Torii" Pattern Ceramic Powder Puff Lid. Made in Occupied Japan. Circa 1940-50's. Most Geisha Girl porcelain was produced before WWII, however it was still produced during occupation of Japan in sparser quantities and was done to a lesser standard of quality. Eventually production of Geisha Girl porcelain shifted to Hong Kong during the 1960's and ended completely during the 1980's. Reproductions later started surfacing in China in the 1990's. VERY GOOD CONDITION (7) -- Minor scratches/scuff marks throughout face. Some minor paint loss around edges. Tiny flake bottom edge. Overall in decent displayable condition. Very nice colours & hand painted scenery. No maker's mark. MEASURES APX- 4 1/4" IN. DIAMETER.
