Position Summary

The Service Technician is a professional and technically skilled individual responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining cars, ambulances, and light duty trucks. This role requires an extensive range of knowledge and skills necessary to repair vehicle systems. Service Technician works closely with the Service Writers and the successful candidate will be an organized person who works well under pressure in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle inspections and tests to determine diagnosis
Report any additional safety or service repairs needed to the relevant parties
Perform vehicle repairs and service according to industry or factory standards
Complete road tests to evaluate the quality of repairs
Comply with all safety regulations and policies to maintain a safe working
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned or modified as necessary throughout the course of your employment.

Technical Skills & Requirements

3rd Year Apprentice or valid Red Seal certification
Diesel engine repair experience is an asset but not required
Physically capable of properly lifting up to 25 kg (55 lb)
Valid driver's license required and comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles
Commitment to continuous learning to update industry knowledge
