Let me take you back in time to 2006 , Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton..Axl Rose , and the juggernaut of musicians that played a gig there that night was attended by idk .. 16,000 plus ... included in that number was myself , and my Buddy Rick. In typical Axl fashion , the band didn't take the stage until dam near midnight ..booze sales I'm almost positive were clipped at about 10. The tension was ramped up ..people were getting pissed off ....Now he was supposed to be promoting his " Magnus opus' Chinese democracy. Several years in production at this point . But I believe he only slipped two songs in the set of what would turn out to be a disaster of an album. Pretty much stuck to the tunes we all came for . And a weird one when he brought out ' some guy he found in a dumpster outside of Rexall . Enter the tv character Bubbles from the trailer park boys . It was , for me , a low point because by this time the band was really tight. Cut to the encores....so long ago now ..but I'm pretty sure it was Paradise city. At the conclusion of the show Axl wipped a microphone into the crowd. We were about maybe 25 rows back from the front of the stage ...standing on the floor. Here comes the magic , and if u think this is BS ...F**k ya . I speak in truth's only so doubt it stop reading now. I could not believe that THIS MIC tumbled a ways ...it was a good chuck ....and if u had seen it ..you would have sworn he was throwing it right at me . ( He wasn't) It was like a jump ball though , I launched at the perfect time and came down tackled with the mic in one hand , quickly a pile formed and a massive fight for it was on. Somehow I got fetal and two hands on it ..my hands and arms were scratched all over. Rick , tough Mofo starting pulling guys out of the pile until I emerged with this Gem. We would have loved to try to see if Axl would sign it , but it was impossible . Dudes who know I had it were keeping a disturbed , pissed off look on their faces ..we scrambled out of there and guys were still following us ...looking for an opportunity to rip it off Me. This is a truthful 100% account of what you're looking at here. I got lucky and made it home with Axl Rose's microphone. Believe that? U should ..I'm not one for wasting time spinning fictional stories..it's the REAL deal . Interested ...if you're a true fan you outta be . What's the value on this ? I .....Love that band .
