I am offering my rare DELTA Model 1294 (23-294) Tool Edge Sharpening Attachment for sale because I am downsizing my home workshop. This attachment is used to sharpen Plane Irons and Chisels by sliding the carriage, which holds the tool, right to left in the slot on the tool rest which is perpendicular to the face of the grinding wheel. There is a micro adjustment to slowly advance the tool towards the grinding wheel.
See Photo 2 and 3. Mine is off a DELTA Model 23-1XX; 7" Grinder, but could be adapted to any 6", 7", or 8" grinder.
The DELTA # 1294 (Product ID: 23723-1-945) is the same as the previous DELTA 23-845, but with an opening for Chisel handles. The 23-845 retails for about $400.00. I am asking $180.00, or Your Best Reasonable offer, for this rare DELTA attachment.
Note: Grinder, Plane Iron, and Chisel in pictures are not included in this offering.
