Dennis' Dirtworx Ltd. is looking to expand our team in our Truck Shop.

Job Type – Full-time
Start Date: Early August 2024
Positions Available: 2
Schedule –Monday-Friday (occasional Saturday), 10-12 hour shifts with overtime after 8 hours
Wage – Based on experience
Location – Residence within 1 hour of Coaldale, Alberta
(Relocation or accommodations are not offered)
Experience – 2 or more years

Diesel Mechanic Duties:
• Engine, electrical system, hydraulics, fuel and brake line repairs.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that the truck/trailer units are in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Follows all safety, compliance, and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• Follow and comply with all government legislation, company policies & procedures.
• Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Completes job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in diesel technology an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Clean Drivers Abstract (candidate to provide a current drivers' abstract)
• Technical skills, familiarity with electronics, be able to read schematics or use electronic diagnostic equipment to trouble shoot repairs.
• Mechanical ability in all types of machinery, engines, electronics and precision equipment
• Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination
• Strength and stamina
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Must be able to work as a team or under minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to obtain training in First Aid, WHMIS and CSTS (Construction Safety Training Systems)
