A small sterling souvenir spoon showing Martello Tower located in west Saint John. It is 4" long and has a " gold wash" on it. Care must be taken not to polish this off . I let the silver polish sit on the spoon wet for a few minutes and give a few gentile rubs with my bare fingers. Rinse with soap and water. The dark silver oxide will surface after a few years. Always keep your silver in a glass case . It cuts way down on polishing. Don't polish too often . Like all my spoons 1890-1910 covers most of them. The makers mark is Roden Bros. of Toronto later taken over by Birks. The enamel is in great condition like the rest of the spoon . I might add the fleur de lis is a device one would usually find on a Quebec spoon.
