This sterling spoon is 4 5/8" long shows the Saint John City harbour circa 1900 with many of the old sailing ships of the day. This was the age of the first propellers and steam and sail shared the seas. There were all manner of vessel types in those days. The makers mark is hard to make out but I've seen it many times and it's the E in a maple leaf of Ellis Bros. of Toronto . The were taken over by Birks in 1928. Beautiful enamel work has no damage as the rest of the spoon. Handle is logs with a beaver finial
