Small, progressive, well established Geomatics/Civil Engineering Services Firm located in Lethbridge, Alberta looking for Construction Survey Chief

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Taking direction from Survey Crew Manager & receiving training from existing Survey Crew Chiefs
• Responsible for care and maintenance of truck and equipment
• Uploading data files; meeting with clients at construction sites; keeping clear, complete and accurate field notes;
• Working as a one person survey crew or being in charge of 1 or 2 survey assistants
• Strong working knowledge of: GPS Receivers; Robotic Total Stations; Laser Scanners and conventional levelling gear
• Performing topographic surveys, building stakeouts, road layout, underground pipeline and site grading surveys

Job Skill Requirements:
• Diploma in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering or Engineering Design and Drafting preferred
• Minimum 2 years relevant work in the construction industry
• Proficiency with Autodesk products, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map and AutoCAD an asset
• Membership in ASET or ASSMT would be beneficial
• Valid Class 5 drivers license (Drivers abstract may be required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, team player, with enthusiastic attitude
• Be physically fit
