The LaHave River Campground is a private, family owned and operated campground. Our 15-acre property hosts a quaint community of campers, with less than 100 sites all together between overnight sites, rental properties and seasonal spots. As our business grows, we are looking to hire a dedicated staff member who can support campground operations on a part-time, regular basis, acting as a right-hand to the campground owners. The job responsibilities are as follows…

• Providing excellent customer service to guests in person at our store and office, online, and over the phone.
• Supporting guests in booking their camping trips, with checking in, and for the duration of their stay with us.
• Utilizing online software and a pos system for campground bookings and general store purchases.
• Helping to ensure that campers are abiding by campground rules, protecting the peace and safety of the park.
• Responsible for general housekeeping and upkeep of the grounds and buildings, including rental properties.
• Property maintenance responsibilities, including garbage management, occasional landscaping, etc.
• Supporting events, activities, and fundraising efforts of the campground on an as-needed basis.

Our key requirements are as follows…

• Seeking mature candidates who can responsibly handle the operation of the office and general store.
• Experience and comfortability in providing excellent customer service and sales support.
• A positive demeanor with the ability to speak confidently and assertively to customers and guests.
• Comfortability with technology as it relates to software, point of sale systems, online communications, etc.
• Strong housekeeping and organizational abilities, with an eye for detail when it comes to cleaning duties.
• An active team player who shows up consistently and is willing to support wherever is needed.
• A mix of weekday and weekend availability, with the ideal candidate working one weekday and every Saturday.
• Opportunity for additional hours at peak times and when the owners need additional campground coverage.
