2 year old St Bernard male needs home

Description
$600

This is Edgar
He is a 200 lb pure St. Bernard.
Our family is beyond devastated to have to see him go but unfortunately we have a family emergency that is making us have to move out of the country. We cannot take him with us and truly if we did it would be very unfair to him as we are going to be in a small apartment with 3 kids and 3 adults. Honestly this is heart breaking for us as we love him so much and really he has become apart of our family. We have been blessed to have had him since he was 7 weeks old, and he is turning the big 2 August 29th 2024! So technically he is still just a pup :)
He is a lazy dog, but needs a good hour to play and run outside.we also take him for 3 walks a day and have a lead outside on a tree that he LOVES because he loves being outdoors as long as he has a big bowl of cold water and room to play and run. He has been raised with children but being honest I truly feel for him it would be a better fit if the family has older children rather then youngsters. He loves my girls but he has expressed stress by moving away and cries when the kids are getting on his nerves.
Edgar is a gentle soul. He is protective of his family but has never shown any aggression regarding his toys, treats, food, literally nothing bothers this guy!
He has his first shots and is still intact.
It would be ideal if you had a fenced in back yard. If so, he would not need the lead on a tree when playing outside. We have that because our home is not fenced in (condominium area)
Edgar will come with his pool (he hasn't figured it out yet but he will and I'm sure he will LOVE it on the hot days)
All of his toys washed and cleaned.
His food water dish and the stand for it as well. A giant bag of food (pretty much new if it's even opened, depends on when he finds his forever home)
His shampoo and brushes
I may be forgetting some things but what ever this beautiful boy has that's his will be going with you ❤️
His leashes, collars and lead. Edgar does need a pronged collar on walks and it's ideal the man of the house walks him as he is VERY strong and still a puppy. So a person and or a dog walking by will catch his attention and you may go flying lol but honestly because he is a St. Bernard if you have a fenced in back yard and will let him out many times during the day to play and run you can limit his walks to even just one a day. He needs attention. He loves being pet and loved especially at the end of the night when everyone is calm and getting ready for bed. He will come and sit in front of you and that's his sign of wanting some lovings :) loves belly rubs and ear rubs are his favourite!
I am a stay at home mom but Edgar is good home alone for people who work. I just suggest after your work day you play with him outside for a good half hour to hour so he can get all that energy out.
Edgar has NEVER made any accidents in the house. Even as a puppy he was a very fast learner. He never chews on anything, rarely plays with his toys unless it's a ball or fresh bone.
Please please no raw Hyde. I will be sending him with fresh bones, a big pork bone and some dental treats.
Edgar is very picky when it comes to treats. What dog doesn't like those bacon treats? Edgar!
He loves real bacon and honestly after rejecting mostly all dog treats we have just been giving him humane food as his treats and or our dinner left overs. He's a big guy so it's rare for something to upset his belly.
He needs 3 scoops of food in the morning with dog gravy or some humane food mixed in (he's stubborn) and 3 scoops at dinner time :) we give him humane food in between as treats. It was hard to avoid that as my kids drop things all the time so it just became a thing plus we do not like to waste food so we mix our left overs in with his food and he loves it. Without something tasty he may just not eat his food at all and he's been like that since a puppy. He will beg, but he does listen to your commands to stop.
I will write everything down for his new owners of his commands, and just the things he likes so it's easier to get to know him faster.

I know I wrote a lot and that's because I am sincerely so sad to let my beautiful boy go…. And I will be picky and ask many questions for the people who are interested in him because it's a huge fear of mine that he ends up in a home not suited for him. Also I will ask if it's ok with you that I keep in contact for the first few weeks just to make sure he is ok and happy (I'm positive he will be, it's mostly for me) but after those few weeks I will respect and leave you be.
$600 or best offer. Keep in mind he comes with everything and tons of food that should last 3 weeks if not more. So once you take him home you will be set for a couple weeks and that way you can focus on just loving him ❤️

We can deliver as well, probably better we bring him to see how to meet and greet goes anyways just in case!

I'm sad but also looking forward to seeing who's interested. Please feel free to msg me on here and I will send you my number for calling/texting! If for what ever reason the msg isn't working on here please email me at
