Business opportunity. Not a job.
I would be interested in starting dialogue with any person interested in working with animals and being involved in exporting them to other countries under a business partnership arrangement.
["There is a market for your ferrets in the world. Your ferret is different from US ferret. There is a demand in the world."} The above was part of the last email I received from a distributor in Japan. There is a strong desire for non American ferrets in the pet industry.
What I have: About 500 breeding ferrets in two lines with one of the lines having Angora genetics. A heated barn with about 4,500 sq ft of space. A distributor in Japan wanting to buy. A distributor in Mexico wanting to buy.
What I don't have: The time required to look after such a large colony of ferrets.
If anyone is interested, it might be worth an inquiry while they are still here. I am not requiring someone make an investment but there would be a share of the costs of production to be assumed as well as helping with the farming activities. The operation is located in southwest Manitoba.
