Location: Cardinal Leger School, 141 Campion Crescent

Position Overview:
Explorers BAS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic BAS Leader to work flexible shifts throughout the school year. The BAS Leader will supervise and engage with children aged 5 to 12 in a safe and nurturing environment during before and after school hours. Position starts in September 2024.

Hours of Work:
The BAS Leader will work flexible shifts throughout the school year. Shifts are from 7:30 to 9:00 am and 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the safety, general atmosphere, conduct, and behavior of children during scheduled shifts within the mini gym, outdoor areas, classroom, and computer room.
Assist with cleanup duties and light cleaning within the mini gym and preschool room, including mopping, sweeping, and washing toys, tables, and cabinets when required.
Assist with the preparation of daily crafts and activities.

Requirements:
Experience working with children (an asset)
Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check dated within 3 months of hire (original required)
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (an asset)

Compensation:
$15-$16 per hour, based on experience.

Please note additional hours could be acquired through work at Explorers Preschool. (Hours are 9 am to 12 pm Monday to Friday)
