STARTRACK is looking for an experienced, ambitious & energetic Transportation Sales Representative to lead our growth in the GTA, with experience in dry van services. The Transportation Sales Representative focus will be on new business growth - specifically establishing & maintaining long term business relationships.
• Through independent prospecting, gather information to identify high-level sales opportunities
• Pro-actively develop, qualify & secure new business with the goal of offering specific transportation solutions while promoting our capabilities & expertise
• Focus to develop long lasting customer relationships built on competitive strategies, trust & exceeding customer expectations.
• Utilize successful rate negotiation techniques to secure a premium rate & service solution with the customer
• Develop & implement sales and marketing plan to identifying short, medium and long term sales targets
• Establish a sales plan to achieve the agreed upon targets
• Maintain weekly & monthly sales status reports & rolling sales projections for review
• Establishes effective communications with managers & operations department to continuously improve client responsiveness & continuous sales improvement
• Manage & maintain relationships of some existing customers
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• 7 to 10 years of customer direct transportation sales experience
• Deep understanding of all facets of the transportation industry
• Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written).
• Strong presentation & sales skills.
• Solid negotiations skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both internally & externally with all levels of management.
• Self motivated, positive, optimistic attitude
• Superior planning & organizational skills
• Honesty & integrity
• Travel is required
