ORIGINAL HEMI ORANGE 1970 REAL SUPERBEE
440 SIXPACK
SHOW CAR THAT YOU CAN DRIVE

History: This is a coded REAL SUPER BEE by VIN. Purchased disassembled in Chilliwack, BC in 2011. This car was completely rebuilt from top to bottom – a quality nut and bolt restoration over 5 years using only the BEST PARTS! Original 4 speed car. Only Dodge, quality American original parts or race components were used – no offshore junk. Car is COMPLETE with all the ONE-YEAR-ONLY 1970 PARTS! Born a 383 car - originally delivered to California with pollution control intact. Lives in a heated garage and is driven. Multiple Top 5 Awards, Best of Class, Top Muscle, 2 People's Choice, a Club Choice and others. The car has been invited to Draggins Rod and Custom Show next year with the Saskatchewan Mopar Club. Owned and built with care by a true, passionate Mopar enthusiast. This is a Show Car that you can drive! Runs well with 3000 rpm at 110 km per hour. Looks right -sits right. PULLS HARD and is an ABSOLUTE BLAST FROM THE PAST TO DRIVE!

Body: Completely disassembled and built from the ground up. All the car needed for rust repair was 3 small spots - one on the roof and then just behind each back wheel. The trunk floor was replaced. 350 hours into the body prep and painting alone. The sheet metal was fully stripped down and prepped with minimal filler used. Laser straight and sharp body lines! POR15 coating was used inside all the fenders and areas where rust could normally start. Original N96 hood. Base/clear solid HEADER ORANGE paint – polished. Sills and jams are nicely finished.

Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Factory components completely rebuilt. Obviously low miles as under carriage had zero rust or damage before the restoration. Frame/chassis was unpainted at the project start with no evidence of rust! It is now painted with a single coat of POR15. Factory hemi springs.

Engine: REAL1970 SUPER BEE 440 SIXPACK - non numbers matching. Fully rebuilt and balanced at Okanagan Auto in Kelowna, BC. Forged pistons wiht10.5:1 compression ratio. Rebuilt original heads (non original valve covers). Rebuilt original 1970 Holley carbs (never been messed with - just tuned). Purple Race cam option with updated grind. Forged 4 speed crank - original to this 440 High Performance sixpack motor. Bypassed the ampmeter. The flywheel is balanced with bearing not “bushed” – meaning the crank is bored for a pilot bearing instead of the normal bushing for the 4-speed input (one of those good mods everyone should do). Lakewood SPI steel safety bell housing. Car has a Holley Red electric fuel pump for easy starts when it sits for awhile. It will run on the mechanical fuel pump no problem if driven more regularly. Has a cutoff switch for theft. Pump rod is removed. New correct gas tank and sender as well as a programmable fuel level control.

Transmission: Dodge 833 4-speed manual with Hurst shifter. Completely rebuilt and re-bearinged. Upgraded to hydraulic clutch.

Differential: 355 Suregrip 8-3/4 with new 489 gearset.
Exhaust: Aluminized steel 3" dual with headers. Correct polished down-turned tips.
Brakes: Manual heavy duty. Aftermarket front discs. Correct dual master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve and new brake lines.

Wheels: American Racing alloy.
Tires: BF Goodrich Radial TA 225 60R 15 in the front and Hankook Ventus H101 - 295 50R 15 in the rear.

Interior: All new or refurbished interior including new head liner. Black with hemi orange inserts. Updated to 1970 buckets seats with sliders and floor braces in place. New heater box. New weather seals. New carpet with thick floor insulation.

Extras included: 15-inch cop wheels painted hot rod black and a nice set of proper dog dish caps ($500 value). Lots of photos of the build and body work. Comes with a very rare rear bumper in good condition to be rechromed (original rear bumper has scratches). One year only bumper and the ONLY one we've seen in 10 years that wasn't rusted through. Original newly upholstered front bench seat with the same orange inserts to match the back seat. Original owners manual. Car cover.

Options and Special Features: Manual steering and brakes. Radio delete plate.

Known issues: A few small bubbles on both rockers – painter suggests it is not rust related. Fender tag is missing. Typical hardtop wind noise. Original tach not working. Urethane suspension bushings squeak a bit. One dent in the front middle by the Bee emblem. Some wrinkles in the head liner.
Reason for selling: Thinning the herd.
