Full Time Farm Hand Wanted - Immediately

Looking for a Full-time Farm hand for a grain farm between Lloydminster, SK and Lashburn, SK.

This position requires a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The work will involve heavy lifting and applicants must be physically capable and fit for duty. The ideal candidate will have a passion for farming and willingness to learn. Preference given to those with class 1 license and previous farm experience.
The job will involve working outside in various weather conditions and may required occasional weekend and holiday work, especially during the busy seasons of spring seeding and fall harvest.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with general farm maintenance and operations, including operating tractor, sprayer and combine, pulling implements such as air seeder, harrows, pro-till, etc.
• Routine maintenance and repair, as required, on farm equipment and machinery
• Routine maintenance on farm buildings, barns, sheds, fences, etc.
• Hauling and moving grain, fertilizer, seed, supplies, etc.
• Farmyard maintenance such as mowing, tilling, and weed whacking

Experience:
• Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge a must
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measuring and mixing chemical and fertilizer
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Knowledge of farm machinery, operation and maintenance is a plus

Wages commensurate with experience and skill. Work schedule for off-peak seasons can be discussed and accommodated on an individual basis, depending on needs.
