**Helper - Lawn Maintenance, Enhancements, Snow Removal (VanGreen Lawn Care)**

My name is Kris, and I've been working on growing my small lawn care business over the past 3-4 years. Initially, friends and family helped out when needed. However, I am now in a position where I need a full-time helper to keep up with the work and help us grow.

With the business being new and only two of us handling the work, including equipment maintenance, this will not be a typical position. Some tasks may be performed at the yard, while others might take place in my personal garage. The position will not have a set of specific duties or hours.

**Job Description:**
- **Typical Day:**
- Meet at our storage yard by 7:30 AM. (Yard is located in Carluke and requires reliable transportation - no bus route)
- Discuss the day's tasks, load necessary equipment, and head out.
- Most days will involve lawn maintenance for our weekly clients (mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, weeding, etc.).
- Additional tasks may include small sod jobs, property clean-ups, leaf clean-ups, spring clean-ups, aerating, overseeding, etc.
- Anything else that needs to be done.
- Oil changes, blade sharpening, purchasing materials or tools, washing equipment, reparining minor things, etc.
- Expect to be home by dinner time (6:00-6:30 PM) or earlier. Occasionally, we may run late due to job completion.
- Some weeks may be 4 , ten hour shifts and 3 day weekend (usually mid summer when it's real hot we will do this). Other weeks during peak season we may run 5-6 days a week to meet demands.

- **Winter Work:**
- We provide snow removal in the winter, so winter work is required.
- Must be available and on call 24/7 throughout the winter months.
- Pay structure for winter work will be discussed and compensated fairly.

**Position Details:**
- **Start:** Part-time to ensure a good fit, transitioning to full-time.
- **Pay:** Starting rate of $18.00/hr. Overtime will be paid after 44 hours.

**Requirements:**
- No direct green industry experience is required.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is essential.
- Must possess a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
