Job Description:

Yupana is currently seeking an experienced Horizontal Directional Drill Locator with industry construction experience. You have knowledge of current construction work safety practices. In this role, you will assist in building telecommunications networks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs box locating, installation of conduits for various cables, installation of pedestals and concrete bases, flush mount vaults and enclosures
Safely operates directional drilling equipment and locating tools
Coordinates drilling activities with other activities, positioning or moving of loads and conduct in response to hand or audio signals from team members
Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, and CVOR guidelines and acting in a safe manner at all times
Complete all required paperwork daily
Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment in a safe manner
Complete Driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports
Complete a daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work
Prepare the drilling fluid according to site conditions before commencing boring.
Handle and distribute construction materials, loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, and equipment, and remove all debris from work sites
Other duties, as required
Qualifications

Must have previous directional drilling/locating experience
Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset
Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
Must have and maintain a valid AZ driver's license
Must have and maintain a clean driver's abstract and CVOR
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 23 kg ), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
