Because we are downsizing, it is time to say good-bye to our touring bike. This is a Terry Despach, frame circa late 1980, with lug construction using Tange 1 double butted tubing, for a light strong ride. It is fully tricked out with 80's era Suntour Cyclone Kit (chainring 48/40; front and rear derailleurs, brakes, hub set…), with classic down tube shifters. It is specifically designed for women or smaller people, with a smaller front wheel (24X1), permitting a more flexible frame for easy riding. This also comes with factory brazed-on attachments for 2 water bottles, which can fit touring racks front and rear for road trips. We bought it for my partner, who is 5' 2” with an inseam of 25”. This size is probably best for smaller persons 5 foot 2 to 4 inches. Best of all… the bike was hardly ever used (less than 20k of actual riding), because shortly after we bought it, life happened.
Other Technicals: Stella Italia Anatomic seat with Laprade seat post; Sakae stem and bars; Wheels: Front 25mmX320mm (1”X24”); Rear 700C x 28C.
This bike sold in 1989 for 800$. We are asking 300$, negotiable; especially for an aspiring road rider who would like to make this bike their own. No lowballs please.
