Apprentice Carpenter (Journeyperson) - MONK Renovations

We are looking for 2 competent and reliable apprentice carpenters, who wish to continue to build their skills and knowledge in the renovation industry, while working with experienced journey person carpenters.

Type of Work:
• Bathroom / Kitchens / Basements & Additions

Skills Required:
• Duties as an apprentice carpenter include, providing assisting a journey person carpenter and working independently on various carpentry projects for residential clients and being physically capable of completing these duties:

o Demolition, Framing, Window & Door Installation
o Roofing, Siding (Vinyl, Metal & Wood), Aluminum Fascia
o Insulation, Drywall (Hang/Mud & Tape) & Painting
o Flooring (Tile/Hardwood/Laminate/LVT) & Coatings
o Bathroom Waterproofing, Wall & Shower Tile, In-floor Heat
o Trim, Interior Doors & Cabinets, Mill Work
o Minor Plumbing, Minor Electrical

• Assist with organizing materials and labour (own & subcontracted) for various renovations projects. Assist with coordination of material delivery as may be required.

• Solid Salary Based on Experience - Typically $20-25/hr based on experience (40-45 hrs per week), some weekend work will be required.
• Tool Allowance, Phone Allowance, plus mileage for any company use of personal vehicle
Must Have:
• Previous experience and/or community college training
• Valid Canadian Drivers Licence
• Valid Canadian Work Visa
• Own Tools (Hand & Powder)
• Own Reliable Vehicle, preferably a truck, however a car is acceptable
