An experienced horticulturist or farmer is the ideal candidate however we are eager to train an ambitious hard worker who wants to learn skills beyond what any other position can offer. From working in our Apiary to Yard work and everything in-between, you will learn skills such as weeding, spraying, carpentry, plumbing and even basic electrical. You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of a 16-acre market garden farm with state-of-the-art equipment involving forward thinking practices - some unconventional such as vertical farming, hydroponics and plastic raised bed growing. The extensive gardens need to be maintained in lush conditions and be prepared to improve where needed by adding more landscapes beds and enhance exiting gardens. On rainy days you get to work in cozy greenhouses or fully tooled workshop. If you have your pesticide license that will be a bonus but we can easily help you get it. You must have reliable transportation a valid driver's license in good standing. You must be able to be bonded when the time comes. Getting dirty is part of the job and keeping the equipment spotless is the goal. Position is full time year-round with wages based on experience with starting to be $18 per hour.

Monitoring harvest supplies to ensure on-time ordering
Accurately recording harvest information
Coordinate field transplanting and weed management
Management of crop covers
Field irrigation
Greenhouse operation, including crop pruning and environmental management
Coordinating greenhouse tasks
Greenhouse watering
Weed and pest control
Greenhouse harvesting and accurately recording harvest information
