Residential Aide Position
We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide essential daily care and support for a Multiple Sclerosis quadriplegic living in their own home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact for our client's needs.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Prepare and service two meals a day according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including weekly laundry, dishes, weekly garbage to curb, etc., to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed (lift system in place); weekly tub/shower, and daily sponge bath; along with moving client to various positions in bed / commode / chair as needed, along with daily dressing and grooming.
• Provide all toileting needs, including regular draining of catheter.
• Daily dispensing / administering all medications as prescribed by healthcare officials.
• Daily stretching with client.
• May need to accompany client to medical appointments from time to time.

Qualifications / Experience:
• Previous experience in caregiving, or related fields is preferred. Along with experience working with quadriplegics.
• Must have own transportation.
• Ability to provide compassionate care with patience, empathy, and a gentle touch.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and following a care plan.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Additional Info:
• The location is near Calgary Trail and Whitemud Freeway in Edmonton, AB.
• Shifts will be 12 hours – 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM 2 or 3 days per week to be shared with a second worker - must be available to work weekends.
• The client has excellent cognitive abilities.
