The Opportunity

As a valued member of our Regional Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and managing overhead and underground line construction projects
  • Providing technical leadership to construction crews and contractors
  • Interacting with customers, councils and other regulatory bodies
  • Preparing estimates and material lists for job preparation
  • Preparing engineering reports to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations for system upgrades to improve the operability of the power system
  • Assisting with the design and execution of other distribution engineering projects as required

Your qualifications include a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. You must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver's license. You have strong analytical and project management skills and are able to execute technical tasks with particular attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD is required. There is a residency requirement for this position, whereby your primary residence must be within 40 km of the Gander Office.

You are a highly motivated team player with a strong commitment to safety and customer service, an excellent work ethic, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
