Overview:
As a Gas Station Attendant at Shell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service station. You will be the face of Shell, providing exceptional customer service to all patrons while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them with fueling their vehicles, providing information about products and services, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Fueling Operations: Dispense fuel accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines. Monitor fuel levels in underground tanks and coordinate with management for refills as needed.
Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures and maintaining proper documentation.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of fuel, automotive products, and convenience store items. Restock merchandise, conduct regular inventory counts, and report any discrepancies to management.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the fueling area, convenience store, restrooms, and surrounding premises. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Monitor equipment for any malfunctions or safety hazards and report issues promptly. Follow environmental compliance guidelines for handling fuel and waste disposal.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Support fellow team members during busy periods and assist with additional tasks as needed.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about Shell's products, promotions, and loyalty programs. Educate customers about fuel options, car care products, and other offerings to enhance their experience.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity for operating fuel pumps, cash registers, and cleaning equipment.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
