I've owned this Jag 6 years.
New ball joints and rebuilt front calipers, new front shocks. The rear brakes are good.
Body is very good, it has been painted before I got it, and new sills were installed then.
The previous owner had the head reconditioned, and the transmission rebuilt.
Twin SU HS8 carbs with manual enrichment conversion.
The engine starts and idles perfect, but bogs over 3000 RPM. I've done a tune up, checked compression, valve timing and clearances, rebuilt carbs, checked for blocked exhaust, ignition timing at idle and at 3000 RPM. I can't figure it out.
Right fuel tank leaks, I'm using only the left.
So here is good example S1, that someone good with these engines can improve.
