The role: We are seeking a full-time, temporary Process Technician within our Technical Department. The Process Technician performs tests and experiments that ensure we continue to produce a high quality pulp product, these processes assist with product development and process optimization. The term of this position will extend until September 8, 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Role and Responsibilities:
-Complete laboratory testing, analysis and report writing on pulp quality and process efficiency.
-Conduct calibration and process optimization; as well as troubleshooting.
-Work closely with the operations group to accomplish weekly testing responsibilities.
-Follow our procedures and initiatives to maintain quality pulp production.
-Conduct technician routines as outlined in the technician progression system to stay proficient.
-Additional duties, as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Chemical Technology or Chemical Engineering Technology Diploma.
-Other science related degree programs (with a minimum of two years' experience) may also be considered.
-Strong technical abilities and problem solving skills.
-Extensive communication skills both verbal and written.
-Advanced MS Office experience is required, particularly MS Excel, and Google Workspace.
-Ability to prioritize workloads, manage projects, think critically and overall flexibility are essential.
-Industrial laboratory experience will be considered an asset.
-Proven safety conscious individual with an understanding of lab safety best practices.
-Will be required to work in an industrial setting with heavy equipment.
-Ability to work in an office environment;
-Ability to sit for longer periods of time.
-Must be willing to work within a strong team environment
-Shift work and on call duties may be required.

-We like to provide you with ample time to enjoy your life. This role works four 10‐hour days a week (i.e. Monday ‐ Thursday) from 7:00 a.m. ‐ 5:00 p.m. This means you will enjoy a 3‐day weekend every week.
-Compensation is based on experience, qualifications and competency with a starting hourly rate of $33.52, plus a 5% Average Regular Premium (ARP)
