Hand built in Kalamazoo, MI by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, the Sweet 16 is an all-solid, all-carved jazz guitar in a notably comfortable size. Similar in concept to the Gibson L-4C, the Sweet 16 is just slightly shallower in depth, making it notably comfortable under the arm, on the lap, or on the strap.

The Sweet 16 is noteworthy as well in matching its 16 body with a full length 25 1/2" L-5 scale, a combination virtually unique in either contemporary or vintage archtop design. In addition, the full-size floating humbucking pickup allows the solid carved soundboard to resonate to its fullest acoustic capacity.

Neck profile is a comfortable gentle D, with fine original medium jumbo fretwork on the solid ebony fingerboard. Voice is clear and open, with excellent volume unplugged or through the original Heritage floating humbucking pickup. Truly the best buy in a genuine American made jazz classic.
All complete with its original deluxe arched Heritage plush lined hardshell case.
