ABOUT US:
We're a new restaurant and wine bar opening in downtown Kelowna. At Wildling, we seek to deliver meaningful hospitality to our guests while showcasing the best in local producers and farmers.

We're a neighbourhood spot, looking to add to the culinary landscape of Kelowna. We are seeking to put together a tight BOH team in advance of our opening in FALL 2024.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Head Chef who is passionate about food, creativity, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for wine and a proven track record of leading a team, creating thoughtful and creative food, and being a nice person while doing it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute a dynamic, seasonal menus that highlight local produce.

Help source high-quality, local ingredients to create delicious small plates.

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and staff scheduling.

Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Collaborate with the ownership/management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Culinary degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in casual to fine dining establishment.

Strong knowledge of contemporary food and wine.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

A passion for creativity and innovation in the kitchen.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
