We are seeking a skilled and reliable gardener and groundskeeper or Handy Man / Woman to join our team. As a groundskeeper, you will be responsible for performing a variety of gardening functions, including grass cutting, planting and layout of the grounds as well as aesthetics of our facilities. This is an hourly position that will also include handyman functions, pool and hot tub upkeep as well as other site duties. This can be a full time year round position to the right candidate but also flexible for those looking strictly for summer work.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct general maintenance tasks such as repairing sprinklers, low voltage night lighting and electrical systems as well as fixtures
- Perform routine maintenance of lawn equipment
- Repair or replace damaged equipment,
- Install or assemble new equipment
- Conduct regular maintenance on HVAC systems and ensure they are in proper working order
- Assist with landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and maintaining garden areas
- Irrigate plants and maintain proper watering schedules
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, weeding, and mulching
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects if required
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work without supervision
