We are seeking a female caregiver for my Mom in their SW Calgary home. My parents are in their early 80's and my Mom has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 40 years. No medical training is required but caregiving experience is an asset. Their home is outfitted with an elevator and a medical life system in the bathroom and over the bed. We can train you on how to use the various lifts. Responsibilities include undressing, personal care and getting my Mom ready for bed and into bed. Once she is settled, there is a bed provided for you to sleep but you will also be available through the night as needed - my Mom usually needs help to turn in bed at least once through the night. In the morning you would get my Mom ready for the day (dressed, personal care) before you leave. Hourly rate is $20/hour. We require help on Saturday and Sunday nights from 8pm to 8am each night starting as soon as possible for training.
