I am a 55 year-old father of four absent (not my choice, nor theirs, really - long story) children who has been through the wringer - at least a couple of times.

A divorce as well as my attempts to maintain a close relationship with my children during 2003-2008 ate away at any savings, resulting in a loss of my house at the time, as well as my filing for bankruptcy. Other than my then-young children not having our usual play palace, the loss didn't hurt me - personally - all that much. My next residence was very intentionally littered by me with my children's favourite stuffed animals, awards and momentos, such that when my youngest daughter, M, saw my new place, she said, “Wow, Dad, this place is BEAUTIFUL!!”

The place was 1/10th of what we had been in before, but one has to admire the resiliency of a child. I ran my own courier business from 1995 to 2006, but the main cause of that business's end was also the divorce - partners as my wife and I were previously.

Fast forward towards today. I ran a small but successful residential lawn care and snow removal business from 2007 to 2023 and I managed to buy a house in the interim. The person who holds the Private Mortgage on my current, humble house (address will be made available if you wish to view it on GoogleMaps or in person), has received a Default Judgment against me (of $167,000, plus *some* court costs), wherein I need to come up with about $200,000 quickly, or else I will be evicted. Of course, for the $200,000, the helpful person will be granted ownership of the house, which is easily worth over $300,000, as is - $400,000 with about $25,000 in professional repairs.

How this all came about is because of three significant factors:
1. Covid - a LOT of businesses were very negatively impacted by this situation, sadly, as was I
2. I have had some quite serious health issues recently, and I have to admit that they are both of the physical realm, as well as of the psychological aspect
3. The Family Responsibility Office (FRO) is - I'll say it - a corrupt Ontario gov't agency, and their actions were the SOLE reason that I needed to seek out a private lender at all (I will be pursuing legal action against FRO, by the way)

I am well aware that this request for “help” is a long shot. But I have scored a couple of long shots in the past… one from behind my own goal line in grade seven floor hockey - you should have seen it… lol. And that statement is absolutely true, as is everything else that I said above.

But I took a long shot to GET this house, and I am hoping to hold onto it - admittedly for little more than pride. I used to be a somewhat accomplished athlete. And although I never liked to lose, I showed respect to ALL of the people who beat me/us.

But I hate to lose to cheaters like the biased, anti-male agencies that currently govern our country.
