The home is in a quiet forested tiny home community in Blewett, 15 minutes outside of Nelson BC and 20 minutes from Castlegar, BC. It is pet friendly and you can participate in as much or as little neighbourly activities as you like. There is a small community garden that some are working on developing, participation is encouraged if that is your thing!

We have lived comfortably in the home for 3 winters, there are no issues with freezing in the winter. We currently use electric heaters rather than the propane furnace as that is just our preference, however propane furnace heats the home very well.

Pad rent is approximately $330 bi-weekly double occupancy and $280 bi-weekly single occupancy which includes water, septic and Telus Fibre Optic. Power is metered and the responsibility of homeowner, our costs have been about $30-$50 late spring – early fall up to $100-$130 in the colder months. Any buyer will need to be approved by the land owner.

The upper loft has fit a king size bed comfortably, it is currently configured for a kids room with twin bed and shelving units.

The main floor bedroom currently fits a queen size bed with wall mounted cabinets for clothing and additional storage.

In the home since purchase we have installed shelving in the kitchen, living area and loft as well as window coverings (thermal style blinds on 6 windows installed for privacy, they work great in the summer to keep the heat out).

The cost of the home includes the skirting which is 3.5” R17 insulation and white metal clad (see photos for install), the fencing, shed and covered deck.
