Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure production and staffing meet production targets and objectives; increase production efficiency by organizing manpower, evaluating activities performed, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements

· Maintain accurate daily shift notes; communicate production statistics, results, health and safety concerns, or any other notable event from the shift to the Plant Manager on a daily basis

· Create a safety-conscious work environment by taking precautionary measures against accidents, providing proper PPE, monitoring, and enforcing Health and Safety rules and regulations.

· Lead a team of employees (permanent and temp staffing); drive performance through effective collaboration, coaching, goal setting and performance management; conduct annual performance reviews

· Monitor process effectiveness and make recommendations on how to improve

· Ensure employees follow production guidelines and work instructions, and that proper tools are in place and used to complete the job

· Assist in cross-training of employees to achieve a more flexible, versatile team

· Monitor usage of materials, track waste and manage resources to effectively reduce waste

· Other duties and responsibilities as required

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 2 years supervisory experience and managing a team in a manufacturing environment

· Valid and up-to-date Forklift Drivers license (experience operating sit-down counterbalance)

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
