Do you want to join our highly skilled team that has been pioneering underground pipe infrastructure maintenance and assessments for over 30 years?

Established in 1988, Cam-Trac Inspection Services Ltd. has been providing hydro-excavation, pipeline flushing, cleaning, CCTV inspections, data collection, and mapping services for Municipalities, Contractors, and Engineering Firms throughout Western Canada and the Northwest Territories.

Cam-Trac currently has an opening for a Junior Equipment Operator who is keen to learn the ins and outs of operating equipment such as hydro-excavation, combination flushing unit used in the cleaning of underground pipeline infrastructure assets.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

Learn the operation the following equipment: combination flusher/vac, straight flusher, steamer unit, and hydro-excavation unit
Assist intermediate and senior operators/inspectors when required.
Work and communicate professionally with team members and clients
Confidently work in a team setting
Perform traffic control for your unit and or a crew when required. Assemble and set up appropriate barricades and signs at work sites.
Maintain the safe working condition of all equipment used; perform minor maintenance on equipment and report the need for any repairs.
Learn to assess job sites for potential hazards; determine precautions for safe equipment operation. Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures. Recognize, document, communicate, and manage hazards encountered during work.
Accurately observe, record, and document conditions and report observations. Complete pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, daily job reports and safety-related forms (FLHAS), near miss/observation cards, electronic entries for time tracking and Cam-Trac MARS program, etc.
Read and interpret a variety of maps, drawings, sketches, and blueprints for assigned project areas.
When required be available for work on out-of-town projects
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Attentive to detail with the ability to adapt to changes in work conditions
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Competent ability to use technology such as tablets, cell phones, and supporting software
Reliable vehicle
Class 5 license in good standing. Driver's abstract required.
Positive attitude and Willingness to learn.
Effective verbal and written skills

Preferred Qualifications, but not required
Class 3 Driver's license in good standing with Q Air Brake Endorsement. Experience with operating combination flusher/vac and hydro-excavation equipment
A range of mechanical abilities to operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs of equipment being used.
Include all safety training certificates with the application.
