Glen Cougle & Sons Ltd, a leader in innovative construction projects, is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Operator to join our transportation team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of construction equipment and materials to our various project sites. If you have the drive and the precision needed for this role, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate tractor trailers to transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from job sites.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and optimize travel time.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to maintain operational safety.
• Coordinate with site managers and other logistics personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and vehicle maintenance according to federal and state regulations.
Requirements:
• Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in operating tractor trailers, preferably in a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as needed.
